기쁨을 나누자.
네 동생은 죽었다가 다시 살아왔으니 잃었던 사람을 되찾은 셈이다. 그러니 이 기쁜 날을 어떻게 즐기지 않겠느냐?' (루카 복음서 15장 32절)
아버지는 잃었던 아들이 집으로 돌아온 것에 기뻐하면서 큰아들도 당신의 기쁨에 동참하기를 권합니다. 이 비유를 통해 하느님 아버지께서는 우리의 심성이 바뀌어야 한다고 말씀하십니다. 실제로 어떤 사람들은 우리에게 경멸의 대상으로 그들을 보면 우월감만 커질 뿐입니다. 그러나 우리의 심성이 바뀌어야 한다는 것은 그런 사람들도 우리의 형제자매로 받아들여야 함을 뜻합니다.
‘We had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and has been found.’ (Lk 15:32)
