Be silent before each neighbour

이웃 앞에서 침묵하자. (이웃 앞에서 침묵을 지키자)

우리가 이웃과 하나가 될 때 그래서 그 이웃을 사랑하면서 그의 이야기를 경청하는 동안 우리는 그가 하는 말에 어떻게 답을 할지에 대해 그리고 어떻게 행동해야 할지에 대해 생각할 수 없고 생각해서도 안 됩니다.

그와는 반대로 예수님이라면 틀림없이 그렇게 하셨을 것처럼 우리도 이웃을 힘들게 하는 것과 그들의 문제들, 그리고 그들이 필요로 하는 것을 포함하여 모두를 지고 가기 위해 자신을 ‘완전히 비워야’ 합니다.
 
"When we make ourselves one, we cannot allow ourselves to think of answers to give or actions to take while we are loving our neighbour and listening to them. On the contrary, we have to be ‘completely empty’ of ourselves in order to take on everything that burdens them, including their problems and their needs, as Jesus most certainly did."
