Love everyone without distinction

차별 없이 모두를 사랑하자.

우리는 가난한 사람뿐만이 아니라 어떤 사람도 제외하지 않고 모든 사람에게 우리 마음을 활짝 열어야 합니다. 사실 하느님께서는 우리에게 오직 한 분이신 하느님, 만물의 창조주 안에서 보편적 형제애를 이루며 살라고 요청하십니다. 그러므로 우리는 아무도 제외하지 말고 모든 사람을 사랑해야 합니다. (......) 우리는 우리 마음에 드는 좋은 사람과 심술궂은 사람, 아름다운 사람과 못생긴 사람, 같은 나라 사람과 다른 나라 사람, 백인과 흑인 그리고 황색인 (....) 유대교 신자와 이슬람 신자. 힌두교 신자로 나누어 우리 마음에 드는 사람을 선택할 수는 없습니다.

위의 글은 2002년 11월 1일 가스텔 간돌포에서 포콜라레 친구들인 모슬렘 형제들과 만남에서 끼아라께서 하신 말씀 중에서 발췌(拔萃)한 것입니다.
