Be merciful

자비로워지자

당시 모였던 사람들 가운데 죄가 없는 사람은 오직 예수님 한 분밖에 없었습니다, 그렇지만, 주님은 간음한 여인에게 제일 먼저 돌을 던지지 않으셨습니다. 주님께서 간음한 여인을 단죄하지 않으셨는데 우리가 어떻게 다른 사람을 단죄할 수 있겠습니까! 결론적으로 말하면 다른 사람들을 일말의 자비심도 없이 단죄하라고 우리를 몰아치는 충동을 억누르고 우리는 모든 사람에게 자비로워야 합니다. 우리는 용서하고 잊어버릴 줄 아는 법을 배워야 합니다……. 우리 마음 안에 판단과 단죄 대신 자비와 사랑을 지니고 있을 때 우리는 다른 사람들이 새로운 삶을 시작할 수 있도록 도와줄 수 있습니다.
 
"If Jesus, the only person present who was without sin, did not throw the first stone at the adulteress, neither should we condemn anyone. In conclusion, we have to be merciful to everyone, resisting those impulses that urge us to condemn others without mercy. We have to learn how to forgive and forget...By having love and mercy towards everyone in our heart, instead of judgement and condemnation, we will help others to begin a new life."
