Be instruments of mercy

자비의 도구가 되자

하느님께서 아들을 세상에 보내신 것은, 세상을 심판하시려는 것이 아니라 세상이 아들을 통하여 구원을 받게 하시려는 것이다. (요한복음 3장 17절)
복음(루카 복음서 15장 7절)은 우리에게 이렇게 말합니다. “이와 같이 하늘에서는, 회개할 필요가 없는 의인 아흔아홉보다 회개하는 죄인 한 사람 때문에 더 기뻐할 것이다.” 
우리가 언제나 죄인이라는 것은 의심할 여지가 없는 사실입니다. 그러므로 죄인인 우리는 자비하신 하느님 아버지께 계속하여 돌아가고 되돌아가 하느님 아버지께 기쁨을 드리는 것이 우리가 이 땅에 사는 동안 할 수 있는 일 중 가장 잘하는 것이 아닐까요? 
 
God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.’ (Jn 3:17)
"The Gospel tells us: ‘There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.’ So wouldn’t it be better for all of us sinners, as undoubtedly we always are, to continually return to the mercy of God, also to give him some joy while we are still here on earth?"
