Welcome whoever you meet  

만나는 사람을 기쁘게 맞이하자.

우리가 이웃을 우리와는 아무 상관도 없는 사람, 더 나아가 우리의 평화를 어지럽히는 사람, 혹은 우리의 계획을 엉망으로 만드는 사람으로 보는 한 우리는 온 마음 다해 하느님을 사랑한다고 말할 수 없습니다. 그러나 우리가 이웃을 있는 그대로 받아들이면서 그들의 독특한 개성과 그들이 필요로 하는 것과 요구까지도 받아들임으로써 우리의 이기심을 극복하기 위해 노력한다면 우리는 그럴 때마다 하느님께 가장 아름다운 희생, 우리의 상상력을 훨씬 뛰어넘는 최고의 희생을 바쳐드리는 것입니다. 그리고 이런 것들이 우리를 하느님과 직접적인 친교로 이끌어주는 행동들입니다. 우리가 이렇게 살아갈 때 우리 사회, 우리 주변에 얼마나 큰 변혁이 폭발적으로 일어날까요! 이렇게 되도록 노력합시다.! 이것이 근본적으로 그리스도교 정신에서 가장 중요한 것입니다.
 
As long as we regard our neighbour as an outsider, as someone who disturbs our peace or disrupts our plans, we cannot say that we love God with all our heart. Instead, every time that we strive to overcome our selfishness by accepting our neighbours as they are, with their particular personality, with their needs and demands, we offer God the most beautiful sacrifice imaginable. These are the acts that lead us to direct communion with God. What a revolution we too could unleash in our environments if we live like this! Let’s try! This is basically what Christianity is all about.
